The rivers in Sudan are polluted to varying degrees, with pollutants mainly coming from domestic sewage and industrial wastewater, and the country is one of the poorest in the world due to overpopulation, a serious shortage of water resources and an irrational economic structure. The local plants and animals have died in large numbers, the water quality has further deteriorated, the supply and demand of water resources are unbalanced, the residents have difficulties in using water for daily life, and the agricultural production has been seriously affected, so the people’s survival and development are facing great challenges.
