Major Fire Rages in Barangay Federal District, Quezon City, Philippines

On the evening of December 28 local time, a Category 5 fire erupted in a residential area of Barangay Federal, Quezon City, Philippines, and was extinguished that same night. The blaze destroyed over 50 houses, affected approximately 100 families, and resulted in one person being hospitalized with burns. Firefighters and the Red Cross urgently responded to the emergency. Local authorities provided temporary shelters, financial assistance, and supplies to the victims. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
