At 5:00 p.m. local time on February 21, a fire broke out at the plant of European metal recycling giant EMR in Camden County, New Jersey, U.S.A. The scene was filled with black smoke. The metal recycling plant stores mostly flammable metal wastes, and the fire is prone to release toxic gases. Although there were no casualties, the smoke triggered the neighboring residents to worry about the environmental pollution, and this is the fifth major fire in the metal recycling plant in the U.S. in the past three years.
