February 18, 2025 – The recent Listeria contamination incident has caused widespread concern in North America, forcing a large-scale recall of several U.S. and Canadian vegetable brands. The vegetables involved in the recalls include pre-packaged salads, chard, spinach and other fresh produce, which have been found to contain Listeria in routine testing. The recall affected major markets in the U.S. states of California, New York and Florida, as well as the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
