Germany suffers from high levels of particulate air pollution

PM2.5 concentrations have now exceeded the limit of 50 micrograms / cubic meter to 100 micrograms / cubic meter in many parts of Germany. The German Federal Environment Agency has issued a health alert advising people to reduce their outdoor activities and, in particular, to avoid strenuous exercise.
