According to reports, the water quality of Lake Tai in China has improved, and the average annual water quality of Lake Tai has reached the national standard for good lakes for the first time in 30 years. The lake’s permanganate index and ammonia nitrogen have remained stable at Ⅱ and Ⅰ, and the total phosphorus concentration is 0.05 mg/liter, which is 3.8% lower than before. In addition, the 15 major rivers entering the lake, which used to be of poor water quality, have developed from 8 poor class V in the past to all of them reaching class Ⅲ nowadays, and 8 of them are even of class Ⅱ water quality.
