Rainforest Copper Mine Project Helps Indigenous Peoples’ Development

China Tongling Nonferrous Group and China Railway Construction Group officially put into production the Mirado Copper Mine in Zamora-Chinchipe Province of Ecuador, which is located in the Shuar settlement, and after the completion of the project, it has built a road for the community, installed a drinking water system and an electric power grid, and provided planting technology guidance, which has significantly increased the harvest of the residents, and improved the life of the local residents, and the direct employment of the mine is nearly 5,000, and about 97% of the employees are Ecuadorians. Currently, the copper mine directly employs nearly 5,000 people, about 97% of the employees are Ecuadorians.
