Infovia 04 Underwater fiber optic cable program: the digital dawn of the Amazon rainforest

Infovia 04 submarine cable program approved: On November 26th, the Brazilian Ministry of Communications approved the second phase of the Infovia 04 submarine cable program in the Amazon rainforest region, which will connect Vilademoura and Boavista, as part of the larger “Connect North” program, and which aims to Provide high-speed Internet to approximately 460,000 people in four municipalities and, when completed, will serve 40 schools, three city halls, and other public institutions.
