On November 26, 2024, the Global Panda Partnership Conference (GPPC), with the theme of “Harmony between Human and Nature”, opened in Chengdu, China, with experts and scholars from more than 30 countries attending the event. As the flagship of biodiversity conservation, the giant panda is backed by a large number of rare plants and animals that are facing a crisis of survival in the global ecosystem. This conference has set up an exchange platform for countries to share their experiences and achievements in nature conservation, such as management models of protected areas and breakthroughs in breeding techniques, so as to draw on each other’s experience and contribute to global conservation efforts.
