The Indian government has been committed to the pollution control of the Ganges River, but recent monitoring data show that the pollution problem of the Ganges River is still serious. Although a large amount of money has been invested in the construction of sewage treatment facilities, but due to the rapid population growth, industrial wastewater discharge regulation is not effective, the water quality of the Ganges River is not ideal. Currently, the Government of India is seeking international cooperation, drawing on the advanced governance experience of other countries to increase governance.
