Spotlight on COP10: Giving new impetus to small cetacean conservation in Europe

From September 10-12, 2024, Odense, Denmark, will host a far-reaching meeting – the 10th Conference of the Parties to the Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic, North East Atlantic, Irish and North Seas. The meeting will be organized around strategic and institutional themes, and the parties will also consider resolutions on current conservation challenges, including beaked whales, marine spatial planning and disturbance by recreational speedboats. The agreement aims to promote cooperation between States to maintain the conservation status of small cetaceans in European waters.
