Tesla Factory Pollution Controversy

According to 2024 News, former Tesla employees have revealed that the Tesla Austin, Texas Superfactory had environmental problems, such as furnace doors that failed to close causing toxins to be spewed into the air, and hazardous wastewater from the manufacturing process that was untreated and flowed into the city’s sewers. In addition, California regulators noted that Tesla’s Fremont plant had 112 air pollution permit violations over the past five years, releasing thousands of pounds of toxic chemicals into the surrounding community that exceeded allowable limits.
