Six Central and Eastern European Countries Reject Strict Carbon Emissions Rules, Stalling Industrial Pollution Controls

Six Central and Eastern European countries, including Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania, have jointly opposed the EU’s new regulations to drastically reduce free carbon emission allowances for industry, bringing environmental negotiations between the EU and these six countries to a standstill.
