Among them, Mariveles City recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 97, while cities including Limei and Manila registered AQIs between 90 and 96. Pollution levels in these cities are approximately six times higher than local standards. Real-time monitoring data indicates local PM10 concentrations at 38 micrograms per cubic meter and PM2.5 levels at 22 micrograms per cubic meter, posing potential impacts on residents’ respiratory systems and other health concerns.
