Drinking Water Contamination Causes Epidemic in Sudan

February 21 – Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) says an outbreak of contaminated drinking water has hit southern Sudan’s White Nile state over the past three days, killing at least 24 people and hospitalizing more than 800 others. The outbreak was caused by problems with drinking water in Kosti, White Nile State, following a drone strike on the Um Dabakar power station.
