Environmental sampling results showed that the concentration of fecal coliform bacteria in the contaminated water significantly exceeded safety standards. Local health authorities promptly issued a water health advisory, temporarily closing all public swimming areas along the lake\u2019s shoreline and warning the public not to enter the water or wade in the lake, nor to fish along the shore.
