High-concentration industrial wastewater, untreated and unpurified, has been continuously discharged directly into the coastal waters, causing severe eutrophication and an ecological imbalance that has directly triggered a massive red tide disaster. The red tide has spread over a vast area, covering approximately 800 square kilometers of sea. The entire nearshore water has turned a dark reddish-brown color, accompanied by a pungent, putrid odor.
