Visibility in these waters is extremely poor, with plastic debris and large quantities of dead fish scattered throughout. Certain areas, completely devastated ecologically, have been dubbed \u201cmarine graveyards,\u201d experiencing a drastic loss of biodiversity. Furthermore, illegal explosive fishing practices are rampant. Fishermen use explosives to catch fish, severely harming marine life and damaging underwater heritage sites.
