Malaysia officially banned the import of U.S. plastic waste on July 1, becoming another Southeast Asian country to close its doors after China’s 2018 \u201cforeign garbage ban.\u201d Data show that the United States, as the world’s largest plastic waste producer, its recycling rate of less than 10%, a large number of mixed plastics disguised as \u201craw materials\u201d exports, in fact, most of the poisoned farmland or dumped into the sea. With Thailand, Indonesia and other countries to follow the ban, the United States is facing a plastic waste \u201cnowhere to go\u201d predicament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
